Project Info
I completed my internship at WonderSoft Studio, combining communication development and graphic design roles. Beyond studio communication tasks, I designed graphical elements and was introduced to Blender 3D modeling to enrich the game environment.
During my internship, I worked on the creation of 3D assets for BattleHeights and was introduced to Blender to produce elements of the game's environment. This project allowed me to discover 3D, from modeling to basic optimization, and to see my work integrated directly into the game.
First I created a tent, relying on online documentation and testing different methods to solve the issues I encountered. Once the model was finished, I exported it and handed it over so it could be textured and integrated into the game. Building on this first exercise, I then designed a second tent in another style. After gathering and validating visual references, I modeled it independently, deepening my understanding of Blender and refining my workflow.
The final step was the creation of a firefly based on a brief. I began by analyzing the brief and decomposing the insect into simple geometric shapes to match the low‑poly style. By assembling these basic forms, I modeled a readable and lightweight 3D firefly. I then learned how to link the different parts together and to optimize the mesh by removing invisible faces so the asset would not be too heavy in‑game. After a demonstration, I unwrapped the UVs myself, chose the colors, and applied both UV and texture maps.
I was then able to see my firefly integrated into Unreal Engine 5 inside the actual game environment.
